Came by on a Friday Night and was immediately overwhelmed with deliciousness. At the recommendation of the staff, I snagged the pulled pork dinner plate with Mac & Cheese and Fried Okra. All fantastic. My son had hand-breaded chicken tenders with fries and devoured them. Great, friendly staff and different options. Can’t wait to come back and try a few other things.

First time there and it was good!! My sister and brother took me here a couple hours ago and I had fried balagna and mac n cheese and I loved it!! Great place

We just happened to find this gem on a trip back home from PA. Some of the best pulled pork ever with unbelievably good sauces - from Carolina vinegar to mustard-based to spicy reds (they sell them too). I cut my pulled pork sandwich into fourths and tried them all. It’s hard to decided which one I liked best. The pork was very lean and moist - no mouthful of fat at this place. The slaw was really good on my sandwich, and I added a concoction of their sauces because that’s how I like it. I also had a side of their fried okra, which was very good. I didn’t have room for their “hand spun” milkshake but I hope to try it another time. This place is 3 hours from home, but I’m already begging to come back. I want to try their ribs, which are only on the menu on Thursdays and Fridays.

We stopped on our way back to Waverly, GA. It was lunch time and the place was just about full. The selection of bbq sauces was excellent; I had two favorites so I mixed them together. The food was hot a tasty!

This is truly a must try BBQ stop, a local swcret that should be shared with everyone. The food is excellent and the staff is great! If I could get away with eating their half rack of ribs every day, I would. They're served Wednesday through Frida!. If you miss the ribs, be sure to grab a brisket plate. Either way, you can't go wrong. Get some potato salad, green beans, baked beans, and nanner puddin', and you will roll out the door stuffed fuller than a Thanksgiving turkey. I wholeheartedly recommend Pistol Jo's!

I went here on a whim as I like finding new spots to eat. I was actually fully prepared to be overpriced, underwhelmed with measly portions. I ordered 1/2 rack of spare ribs and 3 sides including Mac and cheese, collard greens and potato salad. My choice of side sauce on the side was NC vinegar style sauce (the only thing they may have to work on a bit). I got this for lunch but when I opened up everything I was totally overwhelmed. The smoked ribs were so good and all the sides I could tell were homemade. The meal I ordered was about 30. But! There was quite enough to have lunch AND dinner. So yeah, a 15 plate of excellent quality food was well worth every penny. The staff were charming and efficient. I'll definitely be making my way back here for sure.

First time being there, we tried at least 10 items. We tried the smoked turkey, the smoked chicken, the ribs, and the Cheddar jalapeno sausage. Our sides were collard greens, baked beans, sweet potato fries, coleslaw, and potato salad. Everything was amazing!! We also liked their homemade barbecue sauce: sweet cherry sauce and Tangy barbecue sauce. We recommend anyone in the area of Cherry Point restaurant to stop in and try their selections. You won't be disappointed especially coming from a guy who is from Texas that love barbecue.
